1. Do you know how he takes his eggs? Not beaten, not sunny side-up, not scrambled. Gusto niya basag ang pula. Sunny side-up pa ring maituturing pero kalat ang pula.He likes to munch on ice or anything cold. Once in a while let him. But make sure he does it moderation. He gets tonsilitis easily.
He also likes sauces -- maanghang man o maalat. Remind him about it 'cause he takes too much of it at times.
2. Always remind him to brush his teeth before sleeping, kahit pa nasa kama na siya at handa nang matulog. O kahit pa natutulog na. He won't like it but be persistent. Minsan ay nakakatamaran niya ito sa sobrang pagod o pagbababad sa TV o computer. He gets sore throat if it happens.
3. He snores. Slightly put his head on the side so it will stop. Snoring won't be good for his health. And for your health, as well, 'cause it tends to get too loud at times.
4. He is a boy. He likes to watch cartoons, animes, and play video games for hours and hours. Indulge him for that boy in him keeps the man inside him sane.
5. Sing to him. Dance with him. Hold his hand. Kiss him during unexpected times. Look into his eyes every now and then. Hug him from behind. These are the acts that fill the sentimental schmuck in him. But don't just feed his ego with such, mean it!
6. The rain and the cold get the best of him. If it happens, assure him of his place in the world and in your heart. Like a wounded child, he needs to be comforted.
7. He tends to become too cynical. Listen to him attentively even in his moments of self-doubt and self-pity. Make sure you won't go along his tides, though. Be a ray of sunshine in his otherwise dark place. He needs to be taken out of it or else he'll completely fall apart. For even though he thinks less of himself, he is not. He is more than enough.
8. Be wary of his Superman complex. Remind him that he can't save the world and needs time to put his cape away to be himself. Even heroes rest to regain their strength.
9. Love him. Love him completely, flaws and all. Love him enough to forgive his mistakes for he will fall onto the trap every and then. Love him comfortably for his jealousies and obsessions over you for it is how he proves his love. Love him abundantly for his quirks and misgivings for they make him unique. Because once you do, he'll prove to you how much you mean the world to him.
10. Love him more than I do. He deserves it. . .
Be the one I wasn't with him. He earned it. . .
Be his friend, his lover, his family. He is worthy of it. . .
